  1. In the municipality of Conil (approx. 45,000 inhabitants) there were only 8 new infections in the last 14 days. The restrictions of level 2 still apply: for the local population, the travel restrictions at provincial level still apply, while foreigners can move freely in Andalusia, except in areas where the incidence is still very high, such as in Granada. Meetings of up to 6 people are allowed, all shops have normal opening times again and restaurants open until 10:30 p.m., curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  2. Trips to Andalusia from May / June: The state of alarm should be lifted on May 9th. From then on, the determination of measures against Covid is incumbent on the autonomous communities, such as Andalusia, Balearic Islands ... Both the Andalusian state government and the central government in Madrid indicate that easing is in prospect after the 1st weekend in May. There is talk of vaccinated people with a vaccination certificate being allowed to enter the country without any further props. Otherwise a current PCR test must be available. It is also questionable which regulations apply to return travelers in their own country and region, and whether Spain / Andalusia is still generally classified as a risk area.
  3. Summer vacation in Andalusia: even if the general warnings cause fear and uncertainty in many people: Vacation in a self-catering property is the safest way to go on vacation in times of the pandemic. The risk of infection on a plane is extremely low. During the summer of 2020, when Conil and the surrounding area were almost fully booked, there were no hot spots worth mentioning, and these were only found at family celebrations or (forbidden) parties among young people. You can eat in the outdoor areas of the restaurants without worries. There is a general mask requirement, which is faithfully adhered to by the population.
  4. Flexible cancellation conditions for Covid travel restrictions: If you cannot commence your trip due to applicable travel restrictions, you are entitled to a refund of the amounts paid or a credit to a future booking, whereby a service fee of € 50 is only applied. In order to cover your cancellation costs due to illness, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance with ERGO.
